    • Active Forums Version: 4.2.3
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.5.0
    Hello,

I purchased active forums and have installed the module without errors and i am stuck in a loop,
I press the continue button on first launch i then Update all my settings and then click exit,
But the forums are not active, i have not typed in my serial key yet because i am running the website on a test site

When i click continue it creates a new demo forum each time, but when i go back into settings, none of the setting have changed,

I have network service permissions on the website, and just as a test i gave 'Everyone' full control, but still nothing,

Thank you in advance for any help.

This means your default settings are not saving or can't be retrieved. I'm guessing you encountered an error during the installation process or possibly didn't notice it. You probably aren't running the minimum database requirements. Take a look a this post and see if it helps.

Once the database meets the requirements, you will need to uninstall Active Forums and reinstall so that the database scripts are executed properly.

    Thanks for your post Will,
I have tried installing the module again after running the compatibility script and i did not receive any errors, went threw the list 3 times and then did a find on the term 'Pivot' and 'error' the module is still doing the same thing...

Is there anything else that you recommend?

You completely uninstalled Active Forums and then reinstalled without errors? If so, please create a help desk ticket or complete our contact form so that we can access your site.
