    Hi Will,

I am getting a number of entries in the event viewer with for the below mentioned issue.
    AssemblyVersion: 5.2.3
    PortalID: -1
    PortalName:
    UserID: -1
    UserName:
    ActiveTabID: -1
    ActiveTabName:
    RawURL: /forums/aff/60/afv/topicsview.aspx
    AbsoluteURL: /forums/aff/60/afv/topicsview.aspx
    AbsoluteURLReferrer:
    UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)
    DefaultDataProvider: DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider
    ExceptionGUID: 5a613ca0-7233-455e-bf20-3288d12c6a1a
InnerException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex
    FileName:
    FileLineNumber: 0
    FileColumnNumber: 0
    Method: System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks
    StackTrace:
Message: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy) at Active.Modules.Social.Extensions.SocialRewrite.OnBeginRequest(Object s, EventArgs e)
    Source:

Is there something that I can do about this or should I neglect it because it's coming from a search engine?

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Marc

Looks like you are running URL Master and Active Social Vanity URLs. You can ignore the error.

Ok, thanks. I'll look further into the not rewriting on the Active Social profile/group pages with the URL Master module.

I am not using Vanity URLs but I still get these errors. Should I ignore them too?
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

It is impossible to get this error without vanity urls installed. If you aren't using Active Social vanity urls then you should remove the entry from your web.config file.

I am still getting this error. I am not using urlmaster on my website. I have uninstalled it. I am using vanity urls and they work. However, I keep getting this error in thousands.

I know you have asked me to ignore it, but I can't. This error is as annoying to me as this thread (update) is to you.

There has to be something wrong and how can I fix it?

    Thanks for your patience.
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.
