Hi, just installed Lite version for a test drive. I created two topics at random and noticed that once I signed out of back end I am unable to post reply/create new thread on front side.

Is there a permission setting that I am missing?

Any advice that you can offer would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I apologize, it appears that the Lite version has pre-configured settings that are not adjustable. I am also wondering if it could be tied to the mini login on the skin, which appears at this time to be not functioning correctly

    Thanks

I did not know that. I am not the proper person to answer your other questions. Sorry.

No, the lite version can be configured. You need to edit the group or uncheck inherit settings.

    Hi Will,

I unchecked inherit settings and am still not able to access forum from website (reply/create new thread). If you require more information I will glady grant you access to backend and perhaps you can spot issue quickly, or perhaps it's a DNN issue. Please email me directly if this is best method of resolving.

    Thanks

After you uncheck "Inherit Group Settings", you will be able to change the values on the "Security" tab. You need to get the registered users role Reply and Create permission. There is a lot more information about these settings in the Admin Documentation found here: http://www.activemodules.com/active...umentation

    Ben
The documentation does not give details of each of the security settings.
Is this documented somewhere else?  e.g. what is the difference between "View" and "Read", and where is "Trust" used?
    Thanks

    Hi John,
Here is a Knowledge Base article that explains each security setting.
