When I try to quote a post on my forum, it quotes the initial post that started the topic and not the post that I am trying to quote.

Is that a settings issue or something else?

I can't reproduce this. Are you just hitting the quote button on the reply? You can also manually copy and paste the intended quote into the [ quote ] [/ quote ] tags.

It only happens when I am the author on a topic. I can quote normally on someone else's topic, but when I try to quote within the post I show above that I authored, it autoquotes my initial post.

It doesn't work that way on your forum, by the way. I just checked.

This username on my site was created by Facebook Connect. Not sure if that has any bearing, but it could help isolate the issue.
