    Hi

We ran into a really strange problem. I can't replicate this problem consistently, but I have seen it happen, and it happened often enough.

The problem is when someone types/copies in a message to the forum, it saves it. However, it saves PART of the message. Sometimes the beginning paragraph is not saved, sometimes it is the middle paragraph. It's rather inconsistent. It has nothing to do with the length of the topic, we tried it with short or long topics. Someone even demonstrated it to me previously so I have seen this happen.

Anyone ran into this problem before? Any suggestions on how to trouble-shoot this? Thanks.

    = reuben

    Which editor are you using?
What was the text used to reproduce it?

It was the editor that the module was using. The example that I saw was when one of our users manually typed into the system using the default editor of the forum. And the first paragraph went missing on save. It's weird.

I don't have any examples at the moment but once I find one, I'll post it here. but the examples that I have seen are just regular paragraphs. There's nothing special about them.

Need to know if you are using Active Editor or the Default DNN Editor. This is a setting for the HTML option under the features tab for the forum in the Active Forums control panel.

Hi. Thanks for your prompt response.

I checked and we are using the default DNN editor with HTML turned on. I hope this helps!

Any suggestions to this problem? We ran into it this morning again. The forum has posted the following -

    --------------
    Dear FMIA working group members,

This is version 3 of the proposed submission on standardized baslines to the SBSTA. Deadline for comments is on Wednesday 11 August 2010.

    Thanks!

Here's what's in the email that was sent out

The whole 2nd paragraph was missing. Any suggestions?

Was it missing from the post or just the email?

Same issues as before. When someone types in the paragraph, and hit submit, the forum saves the topic, but for some reason the paragraph is not saved. The email sent out is then reflective of the missing paragraph. The email works correctly. It's saving the information that is selective.

    Hi Reuben,
I just realized you have Enterprise support. You should create a support ticket with host access information so we can check your configuration. I don't think we can find a solution without digging a little deeper into the system.
