    Hi,
I have upgraded to latest Active Forum and after that the 'Add new topic' button is not visible. Let me explain, I have two group forums one used as normal forum and the other is used for blogs. In the group used for blogs I give special users permission to create new topic. After the upgrade the 'Add new topic' button in not visible. I use the BlogsView template but have also tried the default and TopicsView templates with the same result - no button. If I am logged in as administrator i see the button.
I have tried to give the selected users the same security settings as the administrator but still no button.
Have I missed some new security settings or what have happened?

Wow.. this is exactly what is happening to me right now as well. I also use this for user blogs as well.

I opened a ticket for it. It seems that if I set a specific USER level security for the "blog" forum it is ignored. Using a ROLE based security seems to be a workaround but it sucks having to make a role for each user.

    Status: I'm no longer moderated.

Thanks for your information. I also tried to using a ROLE based security and it works but this is just a temporary solution because it's not possible to create roles for every single user exactly as you mentioned.
Another strange thing with the blog template is that now the 'Add new topic' button is visible for all users even when you not logged in. If you click on it as an unauthorized user you will be redirected to the first page.
Is there perhaps new blog templates somewhere ??????????
