I have mail connector set up, it seems to pick up mail because inbox gets cleared out every 5 minutes as scheduled. But I don't get the new posts or replies showing up in the forums. What am I missing here? |

Will: I looked over those links, I'm testing with a non-Host account, I made sure it is the only record with that email address. There are no files named floodlog or blacklist.config in the mc directory. |

Is the forum moderated? Any posts pending moderation? Do you have multiple accounts registered with the same email address? |

Also, the forums are not set to Moderate, on Mail Connector I have it set to always approve. |

I see I have a couple emails out of about 700 users that are used more than once. Will this cause a problem?

Yes. Authentication is based upon the incoming email address. If duplicate email addresses are found it will reject the message so it doesn't incorrectly associate the message with the wrong user. |

Just to clarify here, if I am sending a message in with my email address (which is not duplicated) and someone else has their email address duplicated on 2 records - this will cause my email to not post? As I said before the email I am using for testing is only used on 1 user account in the site. |

I think it's happening on website too and I have web.config set to unique emails. |
|
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
Thanks. |

This issue was resolved via the help desk. The AF 4.2.7 Enterprise package doesn't include the default rules.xml. This would cause the mail connector to fail since the rules.xml file is missing. Upgrading to AF 4.3.x or creating a new rules.xml will correct the problem. This only occurs for fresh installs of AF 4.2.7 Enterprise. |
