Just over a week ago I successfully upgraded my DNN installation to 5.6.1.  A few days later I started encountering a bunch of "Domain name does not exist in the database" errors accessing files in the root directory.  Neither myself nor my webhost (3essentials) could find the cause of the problem so I am going to need to revert back to the previous installation and start over.

Is there a way of exporting posts made to AS/AF during the past week and then import them back in after redoing the upgrade?

    Thanks.

    Fred,
have you checked on the DNN forums to see if anyone else is having this problem?
I upgraded to 5.6.1 recently and so far have not seen this error.
What files are you accessing in the root directory that cause this error?

My webhost finally figured it out after attempting a second upgrade that had the same problems.  It had to do with vanity URLs and the Modules RunAllManagedModulesForAllRequest="true" line in the web.config file.  Once I turned off vanity URLs and changed the true to false everything worked great.

Fortunately I was able too keep my current data.

Will noted the same problem here in the forums and mentioned that he had opened a support ticket related to it with DNN.

It looks like the bug Will opened for this is 14836 - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue...6&PROJID=2 in case anybody else wants to monitor it and/or chip in their comments.
