When I attach an image using the active forums attachment manager, and then insert that attached image into the editor body, the editor initially displays a broken image icon, once flipping back and forth to source view it displays nothing although the code remains intact.  I am just wondering if this is specific to my setup or is this how AF is currently working?  If it is an error specific to my site would anyone have any insight as to what the issue might be?

I have noticed similar behavior here on www.activemodules.com. I believe the behavior is caused by a weird interaction between the AF Attachment manager and the text editor. It is inputting an < img > tag instead of just inserting the [ IMAGE:1 ] token. I don't think anything has changed with this functionality recently, so I will have to ask the development team to see if we can find the cause.

Thanks for that Ben.  The editor this is occurring on is the rad editor (now the default dnn editor), I went to a forum on active modules that uses the rad editor and noticed image insertion does not work at all...it does work on mine the image just does not display.  I just tried to insert an image here on this forum which uses the active editor, it does the same thing...broken link.  It did not used to have this issue, please check into it and let me know what the issue is and what we can do about it.

Ok I see what is different, the images inserted in the editor now use the handler url rather than the image path.  Ben, have you found anything about the prospects of fixing this?

The images only appear to be broken in the editor because the topic hasn't been saved yet. Once the topic is saved and the image is properly associated with the topic then it will appear.  This behavior will change in the next version which will be integrated with the DNN Core User Files API.
