    • Active Forums Version: 4.3.2
    • DotNetNuke Version: 4.9.5
Upgraded to AF 4.3.2 and then to 4.3.3 and after the upgrade, I can no longer add an attachment.

Anyone else have this same issue? I have not changed a single thing since the upgrade, but without attachments, I am in a pickle.

Tried with FF, IE and Chrome with no luck.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Andy

Are you seeing any javascript errors? In Firefox, click on Tools then Error Console. That should display any errors. Also, see if there are any errors in the event viewer.

Here is the error, but it does not appear when I click on the attachment section. It appears when I click on submit. After finding the file to attach, I click upload and it thinks, then clears the upload window. Now errors occur at that time.

Here is the error when I hit submit:

    Error: hs is not defined
    Source File: http://www.thefabricatornetwork.com...fault.aspx
    Line: 41

    <script src="/desktopmodules/activesocial/scripts/highslide.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript">hs.graphicsDir = '/desktopmodules/activesocial/images/';hs.showCredits = false;</script> <br />

What other modules do you have on the page? In the past, that error has been caused by the Live Content module.

If you update your support ticket with host access information to your site I'll take a closer look.

In the header of the AF module, I have the following code:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.thefabricatornetwork.com/DesktopModules/BannerDisplay/GetBanners.aspx?moduleid=790&portalid=0&html=False"></script> <br /> <br /> It displays a logo through the advertising module. <br /> <br /> Not sure if this is what is causing the conflict.

    Andy,
I noticed you are running AS 1.7.3. I'm not saying an upgrade is required, but I know in AS 1.8 we stopped loading highslide unless it was needed. I also noticed that the Banner Module you are using is loading an old version of jQuery. That will definitely cause other problems in the site.

The attachments are definitely uploading, but because of the javascript errors it is preventing the other necessary scripts from running. We should have a solution for you tomorrow.

Just did a test on my website and have isolated the issue to a conflict between AS 1.07.03 and AF 4.03.03.

The conflict create an issue with the attachment section. After selecting an attachment, and click upload, the browse window returns blank without uploading image.

To correct the issue, I attempted to upload the latest AS module with created a critical error on the AF module. Critical Error - GroupPrefixURL

The Active Module team helped me resolve this issue. Here is the latest which fixed the problems.

I was able to upload the AS 1.8.3 and then run the script. That fixed the forum issue.

I then placed the Active Social module on the page with the "Welcome Center" and the attachment worked as expected.

The only minor issue that still remains is that you cannot insert the image into the text editor until there is text typed first. I was using Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 beta

Again, thanks for all your help getting this issue resolved.

    Hi Andy,
Thanks for your patience while working through this issue.

The only minor issue that still remains is that you cannot insert the image into the text editor until there is text typed first. I was using Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 beta

I just ran into this as well on this site. However, I can't seem to insert the image at all when using the rich text editor.
I've added this to our tracker and it will be fixed in the next release.
