    • Active Forums Version: 4.2.3
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.5.1
I am having 2 issues with ActiveForums, and I am about to pull my hair out.  I have the ActiveForums module installed on a page twice, one for each forum.  Forum A and Forum B.  DNN Security groups are associated to each of these forums.  Security Group A can see Forum A and Security Group B can see Forum B.

When I look at the ActiveForums module for Forum A, it displays Sample Forum 1.  When I go into Sample Forum 1, and click on "Add New Topic", I get sent to a blank page!

If I look at the URL for the blank page it has ctl=login?returnurl=/Forum/tabid/65/afv/post/aff/7/default.aspx.   It is almost like it does not recognize that I am logged in!

My other issue is this.  When I look at the ActiveForums Module for Forum B nothing shows up.  I have created a Forum Group, and a General Forum created in that Forum Group, but they do not show up in the module!

If anyone can please help I would greatly appreciate it!

I would suggest only using one instance of the forum per page, and just using the Forum Group level security to hide/show the appropriate forums. There is more information about using DNN roles to control permissions for Forums and Forum groups in the admin documentation.

Assuming there is only one instance of the Active Forums module on a page, is there any problem with hiding the module itself using DNN Security Roles?
