- Active Forums Version: 4.3.3
- DotNetNuke Version: 5.6.0
I have turned on the "Active Social Integraiton" for one of my forum groups with the journal security set to "Everyone". I was assuming that by doing this, topic and reply posts would appear in the journal summary. However, new posts don't appear to be showing up in the summary. Posts to forums associated with AS Groups are showing up in the journal properly. -JB |

Have you added the application keys from the Active Social Forum Topic and Forum Reply journal types to the Active Forums control panel Settings page? |

Thanks Ben and Will.. i was hesitant about what to enter as it only says to enter the app name, and to a developer, we automatically think of some non-space-delineated sort of naming scheme.. but it worked fine with "Active Forum".. and now my users are happier! thank you. drew.. |

I hate to be a complete newbie at this.. but I'm completely lost. Under my community tab, under Journal.. I see no where to create any types of keys. Please tell me where exactly I need to go to create theses keys. Thank you!!! Patrick |

Hi Patrick, I suggest reading those two links I posted earlier, if you have not already. To add the keys, go to the Journal page of the Control Panel, then click on the name of a Journal Type in the "Available Journal Types" section. For example: Forum Topics Then click the Access Control tab, type in the name of the application (Active Forums) then click Add. This will generate the API key that will be used by the other application (Active Forums). Do the same process for the Journal Type: Forum Replies |

Here are some of Will's blogs about this topic:
http://www.activemodules.com/blogs/...s-control/ http://www.activemodules.com/blogs/...orums-4-3/
Once we've added the keys (added the application keys from the Active Social Forum Topic and Forum Reply journal types to the Active Forums control panel Settings page) ...
How do we add those 2 check boxes "add topics to journal" and "add replies to journal"?
I have no check boxes. I'm using Active Forums 4.3.6.0 Enterprise Edition, Active Social Enterprise Version: 1.9.4.0 |

I believe that was replaced by enabling Active Social integration on the features tab for each forum. |
