    • Active Forums Version: 4.3.4
    • DotNetNuke Version: 5.4.0
Problem 1: Using IE7, clicking on a custom property pops up the edit dialog, but it is dimmed out like the rest of the page and I cannot interact with it at all (can't edit, click in fields, no I-beam, can't save or cancel). In fact, I can't interact with any of the page and my only recourse is to hit the browse reload button to refresh the page. I can edit the properties using FireFox and Opera.

Problem 2: I have 3 custom properties defined (2 text, one Yes/No). Each has "Hidden" un-checked, "Required" checked, and "Read Only" un-checked. However, when I "Create New Topic," none of the properties are there. I read and reread the guide (http://www.activemodules.com/blogs/...rums-4-3), but all it says is:

Once the properties are defined, they will then appear when a user creates a new topic. The fields are also template based so you can customize the layout the way you like.

So I don't see that I missed anything.

Also, above the "Add New Property" button there's text "More about topic properties" - is that text supposed to be a link to some documentation or to the AM site?  Currently it's just gray text and is not a link at all.

What version of Active Forums are you running? I see you selected 4.3.4, but that hasn't been released yet.

We did make some changes to better support IE7 in the control panel, but it is optimized for IE8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
However, when I "Create New Topic," none of the properties are there. I read and reread the guide (http://www.activemodules.com/blogs/...rums-4-3), but all it says is:

Make sure you aren't using a custom template for your topic editor forum. You might want to try using Default for the template.

I selected the wrong version - I'm running Active Forums 4.3.3.0 Enterprise Edition.

When you say you made some changes to better support IE7 do you mean in a future version or in the version I already have?

The problem of the properties not showing up was due to a custom template. I merged in the changes from the default template (properties and categories) into my custom template, and the properties now appear when creating new topics.

Now I need to do the same thing for topics view, topic view, etc templates. Looking at the differences between the default templates from the old version to the new, the changes aren't trivial, and I need to see how to merge my own template changes in also, so that will take some time to make sure it works. Are there any other templates that would be affected? Updating the guide and the steps to take would be useful to mention that changes to the templates are necessary if you use custom templates.

    Thanks Will
