    Q: Should I remove Active Forums 3.7 before I install Active Forums 4.0?
    A: NO.  This will remove all of your forum content.  You would only want to do this if you wish start with a clean set of forums.

    Q: What are the system requirements for Active Forums 4.0?
    A: Active Forums 4.0 requires DotNetNuke 4.6 or higher and SQL Server 2005.

    Q: Can I upgrade from Active Forums 3.6 to Active Forums 4.0?
    A: This is possible, but will require upgrading to Active Forums 3.7 first.

    Q: Will Active Forums 3.7 be automatically upgraded when I install Active Forums 4.0?
    A: No, you will need to use the migration wizard module to transfer your content.

    Q: Will I lose any content during the migration?
    A: All of your main content will be transferred.  Information that tracks whether a user has read a topic or forum will not be transferred.

    Q: Will the availability of my forums be interrupted in any way?
    A: The migration process can take 2 minutes to over an hour depending on the amount of content in your forums.  For example, a site with 15,000 posts will take less than 5 minutes to migrate.  A site with 250,000 post will take approximately 20 minutes.

    Q: Will I have to reactivate my license?
    A: Yes, the final step of the migration wizard will allow you to reactivate your license.

    Q: Will I have any problems activating my license?
    A: If you are on an intranet you may need to contact us to activate by email.

    Q: What happens if my activation fails?
    A: Please email support and include your invoice number, serial number and the activation key that is displayed.  Your forums will remain online for 72-hours without activation.

    Q: Will I still be able to use my custom theme or templates that I designed for Active Forums 3.7?
    A: Many changes have been made to Active Forums to support XHTML compliance.  This required changes to all templates and css files.  We recommend using the new styles and templates in Active Forums 4.0 as a starting point for applying your custom 3.7 theme or templates.

    Q: Will I have any broken links because of Active Forums 4.0?
    A: The migration wizard module will replace your Active Forums 3.7 module instances with Active Forums 4.0.  This will make sure that Active Forums 4.0 will use the same TabId and ModuleId as Active Forums 3.7.  We have taken extra steps to make sure that any links from Active Forums 3.7 will still work properly with Active Forums 4.0.
