We are now running Active Forums 4.0.  We are fixing issues as we find them so the site may be slow to respond at times.

Let us know what you think.

    Thanks,
    Will

Very Nice !!!!! Very Good Job, indeed. I think the wait was worth it. Good Job! Let me know when we get to download it. I want to buy one more license.

I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

What browser are you using?  I don't seem to have that problem.

Hmm.. my post was never posted, testing again then :)

On the same page, the text "Henrik Juhlin's Profile" and the line is getting hidden when mouseovering the Info buttons.

The page "Active topics" dont have the page select anymore (Pages: 1 2 3 thing) and I was so much hoping to see that come to the pages, like not read, it would be so nice to select last page there, instead of open page 1 just for clicking last page on it. It would be so nice to be able to skip that step :)

    Will,

When you try to go to "Last Post" via the forum listing it throws this error:

    An error has occurred.
Error: Active Forums is currently unavailable.

And if I try to exit the text editor before I'm finished posting it gives me an error saying a file is missing.  I'll come back and post that in a minute when I recreate it.

If I'm trying to post and I click on the "Active Forums" part of the following bread crumb at the top of the page:

Forums > Active Forums > General Discussion

    I get the following error:
The file '/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/controls/af_forumview.ascx' does not exist.

By the way, it looks great...I figured you might want the other news first though!  I'm sure it won't be long to get the minor issues worked out.

    Good luck,
    Steve

We are trying to figure out what's going with the css on that page.  We'll get that fixed soon.

Fixed.  This was caused by our url handling so we don't have any broken links.

Thanks for posting.  I saw your errors in the event log but couldn't figure out how you were creating them.

    Will,

This really isn't an error, but when you go into your profile and hover over the blue circle "i" links for information, it doesn't give you help, it gives you the Resx options for that item...hopefully that makes sense!

Yes. You may see those in a couple of places. We will update those once the documentation is complete, and before we release.

It's funny because it took me a while to realize the forums were actually up.  That was the only way I was trying to enter any thread.  After a couple of times getting the error I decided to try another route, and realized that everything else was working!

I just added a comment in feature requests, and then I tried to "Alert" and got the following error:

The type 'Active.Modules.Forums.af_modalert' is ambiguous: it could come from assembly 'M:\websites\ActiveModules481\bin\Active.Modules.Forums.DLL' or from assembly 'M:\websites\ActiveModules481\bin\Active.Modules.Forums.40.DLL'. Please specify the assembly explicitly in the type name.

The envelope next to the print icon when viewing the forums is not active - I'm assuming that is supposed to be an "email this forum" button.

Okay, I'm sure you're sick of hearing from me by now, so I'll call it a night!

Yes, we are aware of that one. Fortunately, we have only one item so far that wasn't on our fix list yet. We will post a couple more builds tomorrow too.

This is what I see when I hit the alert button.

An old error is back, active topics should give the new topics since your last visit. Now it gives standard the new topics since yesterday.

Looks nice! Looking forward to test it on my own site.

I recieved a subscription email with the following URL:

    It generates an error:

    An error has occurred.
Error: Active Forums is currently unavailable.

This isn't an error.  We have removed it since Not Read and Active Topics serve almost the same purpose.  Not Read is the best and most accurate way to see what's new.  While Active Topics will allow you to see what's new by date.
