At present I am using mail connet with Active Forums.
WHen DNN includes AF will there be an way of continuing to use Mail Connect without upgrading to DNN Enterprise etc?
    THanks

From what I understand, AF will be a separate module. So if you have enterprise version now, you can keep using it and keep upgrading your DNN Community version. That will not affect your ability to use Mail Connector *(MC). The only problem we will have is that we won't be able to upgrade Active Forums to use other new features. We will be stuck to whatever version we have. The other problem; we are SOL if there are any changes in DNN community version that will break Active Forum.

Now we can only hope the existing AF Enterprise customers get a break and any new AF upgrade will not affect MC or (at least) Will will release a patch to fix AF if any future DNN upgrade breaks the forum.

    Keep your fingers crossed.
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for that.
I think that is rather a shame. I'd be happy to pay something to continue to have the mail connect as I assume that it will be integrated into DNN, but I/we do not have the resources to pay thousands for an Enterprise or professional version of DNN.
I wonder what will eventuate. Is there another alternate?

    Thanks
    Paul

The other alternative, since AF will be open source, some developers can develop a better MC?
