I have been anticipating a module mentioned on the SnowCovered AF page for a while, that you programmatically can add to the end of another item on your site a "Discuss in the forums" link, which will create a new topic for a discussion in the forum (and navigate to that topic on succeeding clicks). Preferrably also list the latest post in the topic, a bit similiar to what the TopPosts module can do. Since there has been quiet around the development on this lately, I was wondering if someone did try to implement such a module? I am about to try myself, since we need it urgently for a project. I cannot find anything about this on SnowCovered but I think this is a great idea. I have been adding manually the links to the forums to discuss a certain article on my site. |

The module is complete. However, in order for the best functionality we needed to make some changes to Active Forums. These changes will be incorporated in with the Active Forums 3.6 release.
Thanks, Will |

Hey Will, thanks for the quick response.
Is there a timeline for 3.6? I am in the process of deploying my 10 year anniversary website and converting from DNN 2.02 to DNN 4 and dotnetbb to the Active forums.
My target date for the launch is the 15 of Feb.
Also have you done a conversion tool for this type of migration? |

Did this module ever get created? I have 3.6.1 but cannot find references in the documentation.
Thanks, Mike |

The current version of Engage Publish has an option for comments whereby comments are actually stored in ActiveForums forums. You specifiy which forum is used for comments, and this can be done on a category by category basis in Publish. |
