Hi we have set up active forums viewer on one of our sites. It works fine mostly but when we try to reply to a post using the add reply option or start a topic the module fails once you try to submit a post. We just get the spinning wheel or the page fails to load. Is there something in the forum settings that we need to change to allow this function?

We can successfully add replys using the quick reply function.

Any help on this would be much appreciated

1. What version of DNN are you using?
2. What version of Active Forums are you using?
3. Are you using any type of URL rewriter?
4. Do you have Active Forums within some type of module wrapper/container? (ie: tabs, accordion, etc.)

I think the reply button simply passes the tabid, module id, forum id in a url query. There shouldn't be an issue unless it's getting lost with the query being passed. Are you using vanity URLs? If so try turning this off and see if it works. If so, that might be the cause. There is specific documentation about how to correctly configure the vanity URLs and you have to follow the directions explicitly.

There is conflict somewhere. I'm not aware of any settings to enable a formal reply - this should be out of the box functionality.
