Having attachments added to email subscriptions would be a very useful feature for us and perhaps others. It would let people manage their forum interactions through email alone (VERY useful for Blackberry subscribers) rather than having to navigate to the forum using a browser and login to retrieve the attachment(s).

It would also let us use the active forums feature as a broadcast channel to send announcements to groups with any necessary attachments. BTW, kudos for adding the auto-subscribe feature in 4.0 - it takes us halfway to this goal!

Suggestion: have it as a template tag so that admins can choose whether they want this part of broadcasts or not.

I wanted to raise this enhancement request again. This would be a very useful feature addition for all those that want to use Active Forums as a broadcast distribution model for the messages plus any attached files.

This woul dbe very useful to us as well - I would vote for this if I could.
