I really like the new CKEditor (replacement/upgrade for the FCK Editor: http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/) and while this provider works within DNN using the provider....the forums can't "talk" to it. For example, adding images to posts, smilie's etc no workie.

Any chance we could get support for this into the upcoming release?

That is odd. It should be just another provider like any other editor.

Those items don't work with the Cutesoft editor either..

This has nothing to do with the providers. We are talking about the functionality that Active Forums has outside the editor. Each editor has their own javascript API and each one is drastically different. Eventually we will move the javascript interaction into files so that if you want to customize it for a particular editor you can.

This is very, very interesting! It would be awesome to be able to use Radeditors image manager with all the features it has (image editor etc.). WillM: do you think that this will be possible? I believe that you worked with radeditor in AF a couple of years ago?

I recently upgraded my DNN to 6.1 and in the process upgraded my html editor from FCKEditor to CKEditor because FCKEditor is now obsolete. Now I'm encountering the problems mentioned in this post like not being able to add smilies to posts in Active Social and the difficulty in adding images and pasting copy.

Is there a solution available for this problem?

I installed CKEditor before reading this thread. I prefer the CKEditor over Telerek.

    Thanks.
