Just saw a very neat feature on another forum :

    http://www.actiprosoftware.com/Supp...picID=4871

Have a look at the bottom of the page, it lists the latest build of the software the forum is supporting. As a software vendor the ability to do this would be invaluable! Perhaps some way to plug in a provider into the template? Or is there a way to to do this already?

FWIW, their forums are custom written, but it does have some features that are very neat for supporting software, for example it allows you to select the build you are reporting the issue for.

looking at how this might work in AF, perhaps each forum could have a definable intro/outro text area? That might actually be really useful for many things. For example, an intro/top text area could have a disclaimer such as "Please read the guidelines before sharing your links in this forum" or "This forum is sponsored by MegaPokerBikeClubs.com" or even just an easy way to insert a google ad for specific forums at the top and/or bottom.
