I need to reduce the width of those views. Is that possible?

What did you do? How can it be modified. Please tell.
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
Thanks.

All I wanted to do is reduce the width of those views which I was able to achieve by adding some css hack. Unfortunately it creates more problem then help if do that.
The hack was to force any table withing afcontainer to the width I want by adding:
.afcontainer table{width:80% !important}
It fixes the specific problem but creates other problems on mySettings tabs so I had to abandon it.
What I was trying to do is move all the toolbar in li and float it to right and create a navigation on the right and all forum stuff in left. It looked a lot nices but I did not know that we cannot customize Unanswered,active etc.. yet so I went bakc to same old style.
What ever I achieve I will make the theme available for download for free on my site. I should ahve it ready by end of next week.

Is this still true in 2012, I have an issue with the icons to the left being crowded and need to fix the issue?

If there is any crowding it has to be because your site skin is applying some css to it. You will have to add your own css to counteract it. The alternative is using custom images like I did for the custom theme here. I just made a bit of transparent blank space around the actual image to fake out the padding/margin.
