I see in your copy of AF you have a little plus sign to share the thread with other sites. How would I add that to my install of AF?

That is the "AddThis" button. To enable it you need to create an AddThis account, then enter it in the AddThis Integration section of the settings page in the control panel.

Referring back to (http://www.activemodules.com/active...-sites/2/) .. has there been any movement on including AddThis or similar ability to AS? Without the Like feature or a quick share, i am finding many users are just too ADD to work to share. I believe i remember talk about an enhanced Like option, where we might have more flexible ability to add Like/Love/Hate/Meah/BlaBla etc to posts to allow interaction of more viral actions? Of course, i would luv (LIKE) to see this action journaled or the option to be journaled. Sorry to go off-topic..

I just checked on this and realized my link was wrong. Here is the correct url of the very interesting thread that seemed to die:

    http://www.activemodules.com/active...cial-sites

The inline ability to share our posts is crucial to getting more inbound attention to AS. Currently i am struggling to find clean ways to link folks over to my postings. What is more frustrating is that when i link over from fb for example, people are finding (*my users*) it easier to reply on fb than on our site.

Few things are more important to removing the tech/UX/barrier that is keeping people on fb than on our AS sites, at least in my opinion.

The "Like" feature is getting lots of love, but the Share feature is just as important. Is this in play as well? many thanks, drew..

ps: and please forgive my bumping of this, it simply seems to have been missed, thank you.. drew..

What has been missed? The original purpose of this topic was answered. Sounds like you are talking about something specific to Active Social. You might want to create a new post in the Active Social Features and Comments forum. Please provide some examples of what you are suggesting.

Cool, I just discovered this post. Do you enter your AddThis account name or the Profile ID in the AddThis Integration section? It seems to work with either, but I'm assuming that the Profile ID provides tracking info for AddThis' analytics.

    Thanks.
