    Hi

When a user edits their profile through AS they currently can't change their 'display name'. I'd like them to be able to edit their display name here rather than having to click on their DNN profile / login details page to edit it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do this please.

    Thanks

Yes they can. Unfortunately DNN keeps the display name as part of the account and not the user profile. The user can edit their display name from the "My Account" link.

So what is the new "Vanity Name" under "My Settings"? Is that the same as display name? It could be confusing for users to figure out what vanity name means.

That actually should be hidden and will be corrected with 1.7.2 later today.

I've just upgraded to 1.7.2 (from 1.6.1) and have this new field (Vanity Name) - I do not use AS Vanity Names at the moment.
    thanks

That change didn't make it into the update. Hide the field in the template. The field isn't used.
