Hi Will,

I have been trying to get the Facebook like button in the forum "Topic View"-template. The code I am using to achieve this is:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> </div><div>var currentURL = encodeURIComponent(location.href); </div><div>jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#ifFacebook').attr('src', jQuery('#ifFacebook').attr('src') + currentURL); }); </div><div></script></div><div>
and I already have this code snippet working with the Ventrian News Articles module as you can see over here:</div><div><a href="http://www.biservices.eu/blogs/id/43/het-antwoord-op-rapportage-verslaving.aspx">http://www.biservices.eu/blogs/id/4...aving.aspx</a></div><div><br></div><div>I was hoping that I could fit it in the topic view myself but my effort hasn't given me any satisfactionary results. Could you point me in the right direction?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks in advance.</div>

Will,

I placed the code between the code tags but this resulted in the above shown so I pasted it in a text file which is added as an attachment.

Facebook_Like_button.txt

Hmm, just noticed that my additional text was considered to code. This is my final attempt

I already have this code snippet working with the Ventrian News Articles module as you can see over here:
http://www.biservices.eu/blogs/id/43/het-antwoord-op-rapportage-verslaving.aspx and I was hoping that I could fit it in the topic view myself but my effort hasn't given me any satisfactionary results.

Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

I've been having trouble adding some javascript into the templates as well. Seems that it is rendered minus the linefeeds, so it doesn't end up working..

I ended up disabling the whitespace filter in host settings and relying on compression on my server to keep file sizes low. That resolved the problem I was having..

I see AS 1.9.4 is adding in its own unique like button which will filter to the wall, but has anyone figure out a way to add in a facebook like/recommend button to a forum discussion?

Adam,
I've had luck using another module like this one (http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcove...eID=21749) or just pasting the FB lik code inside another module (using the HTML module) alonside (or above) the forum.
