RE: ENH - Sign Up Form - do not make Confirm PW/DisplayName mandatory
This isn't a support issue, it's a feature request. Right now those fields are mandatory. Customization such as this will be possible with the registration form custom view, which we are using on the home page of activesocial.com. We will documen ...

RE: ENH - Sign Up Form - do not make Confirm PW/DisplayName mandatory
Update: I tried removing the Confirm Password again on AS 1.3.4 and it looks like it is still required so this signup form is still not possible. I noticed on the mini signup form on ActiveSocial there is only password - so maybe this could be appli ...

RE: Would it be possible to default Country/Region if it is not provided?
Just for the record, I am working on a scheduled task (and new user event) that checks the GEOmap data (free download) and populates the Region/city/Country of the user where they have not filled this in... it's a temp solution.

RE: Would it be possible to default Country/Region if it is not provided?
That is just a hard-coded value - my feature request is for it to be based on the IP so it is dynamic.

RE: Would it be possible to default Country/Region if it is not provided?

RE: ENH: Chaging email should set account back to Non-Verified
Hmm - I would estimate that 90% of people who change their email are spammers trying to buck the system (I personally do this once in a blue moon) - but yes, either way, it needs to be validated I guess.

RE: ENH: Chaging email should set account back to Non-Verified
While I agree this is a good idea, this is not the best way to handle it. Verification serves two purposes: 1) make sure the person registering is real. 2) Make sure they provided a valid email address. The initial verification solves both pro ...

ENH: Chaging email should set account back to Non-Verified
I don't know if this is a bug or if it has not been implemented yet but I was able to change my email address on the AS demo site and my account remained verified. It should display a warning message that changing it will set it back to UV and remov ...
