We want to upgrade this to v1.7 but, as a precaution, before performing the upgrade on the live site we attempted the upgrade on a copy of the site restored to our development server.

When the 1.7 upgrade was run, we got many errors of this type:

“StartJob Starting Installation Info Starting Installation - Active Social Info Starting Installation - Script Info Begin Sql execution Info Created - 01.06.00.SqlDataProvider Info Executing 01.06.00.SqlDataProvider Info Start Sql execution: 01.06.00.SqlDataProvider file Warning SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot find the object 'Dashboard_DeleteControl', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.”

We have verified that the objects concerned do exist and therefore we believe this is an SQL serverpermissions problem.

The live DNN (v 5.02.02) installation was performed  using a script in PLESK. In doing this, it seems that the script installed the dnn database using a schema  rather than the default of “dbo”.

Please could you advise the steps necessary to achieve a clean upgrade under these conditions?

    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Phil,
This is not an Active Social problem. The object in the error message isn't even one of ours. The problem is actually a known issue on older versions of DotNetNuke and will usually occur when you install any large modules. I believe DotNetNuke corrected the problem in 5.3, but I know for sure it has been cleared up in 5.4.
