What is the performance impact of group statistics?
-
The Group Statistics control uses data that is currently available in the Active Social data store. Statistics are cached for each groupid and time period requested. The data from the cached statistic request will be cleared after 60 minutes or until the DotNetNuke cache is manually cleared from Host Settings.
-
Can more than one group statistic control be used on a group view?
-
Yes. Multiple group statistic controls can be used in a group view. However, for best performance, the number of different time frames for each control instance should be kept to a minimum.
-
Can the group statistics control be used in a custom view?
-
Yes. The group statistic control can be used in a custom view as long as a GroupId is specified.
-
Can the group statistics control be used in a custom tab for the group view?
-
Yes. The group tabs can be customized to include a Group Statistics Control.
-
How accurate is the data within the Group Statistics control?
-
It is possible that the data within the group statistics control could appear inaccurate until the next cache refresh.
-
Why doesn't the Group Statistics control return any values when the TimeFrame is set to PreviousMonth?
-
If the group is new then it may not have any to data report. Visit Count and Member Frequency will only be accurate from the time Active Social 1.7 was installed.
- What is the proper way to ask questions or discuss possible data accuracy concerns?
- All questions, comments and enhancement requests regarding the Group Statistics Control must reported in the Active Social Community Forums.
