I have a moderated discussion board set up to autosubscribe and email a copy of all new topics and replies to all subscribers. Users may create or reply to topics via email or by posting on the message board. The board/mailing list has been in place for about four months.

I have recently had two problems with my message board/mailing list:

    1. When the forum moderator edits a message prior to approving it, the message is posted to the message board but is not emailed to my subscribers.

    2. Recently, the forum moderator sent a message to the board via email. The message was auto approved. Users received an email copy of the original message but did not receive email copies of any response to the original message with the exception of a response sent by the forum moderator. It was as if the auto-subscribe feature did not work for that specific post. Is this a known issue?

We are using DNN 4.09.00. and Active Forums 4.01.09.

Edit the message but don't mark it as approved. Approve the post from the Pending Posts list once you are done editing.

This does sound like an issue we fixed. I would suggest upgrading to Active Forums 4.2.6. Also, make sure you don't have "Topics Only" checked under the Auto Subscribe option.
