I'm sure this is pretty easy but it's got me stumped...where are files located once they are uploaded in AF? A friend posted a file I asked him to upload but when I try to download it from our portal I get a response the file is not on the server. If I edit the post I see the file was uploaded and it's 21megs...Tried going into our control panel to find in in the folders but can't seem to find where AF stores files...

    Terry,

I assume that you already checked the "portals\[your portalnumber]\activeforums_attach"-folder (assuming that you didn't choose for storing the attachments in the database)?

Also I asked about the absolute URL of a file posted in a user's profile and have not heard on that - anyone know?

    thanks

    This is correct.

    There isn't one.

Thanks guys...sometimes the answer hits you in the face...I don't know why I wasn't looking in the portal files...

Any idea why I couldn't download them directly through AF?
