Journal Apps

    Journal Apps are custom applications that built using the Journal API or may require access to submit data to the journal.  Each Journal App requires a Journal App Id and Key.  The Journal App ID and Key are automatically created once the Journal App has been properly registered.  The following information must be completed in order to properly register the Journal App.

    Application Name - A unique and brief name for the Journal App.   Application name must be 4-100 characters.

    Description - The purpose of the Journal App in less 255 characters.

    Template - The default HTML template used to display the Journal Data generated by the application.

    Profile Template - Optional - The HTML template used to display the journal data generated by the application when viewed in the context of a profile.

    Group Template - Optional - The HTML template used to display the journal data generated by the application when viewed in the context of a group.

    Site Template - Optional - The HTML template used to display the journal data generated by the application when viewed as a Site or Social summary.

    Icon - The css class name used to identify the application.

    Enabled - Determines the availability of the application.

    Applies to Profiles - Determines if the application will be available to user profiles.

    Applies to Groups - Determines if the application will be available to groups.

    Applies to Site - Determines if the application will be available in the Site or Social Summary.

    Options - Future use.

    Supports Notify - Determines if the application will be available for Subscription and Notification services.
