    Hello,

I am setting up an industry association web site with DNN and ActiveSocial. I am trying to get help with the following questions:

Is the Ventrian Subscription Module a good solution when working with ActiveSocial?

How do I integrate DNN registration, Active Social registration and the payment process using Ventrian Subscription?
In other words, how do I set up the process for someone joining my site, paying the membership and getting access to the site and the ActiveSocial functionality once they have paid? Please be as detailed as possible and don't assume that I am a technology guru with a lot of experience !!!

How do I customize the registration page?

Two general questions about Active Social.

    1) How do I get the page on my site that gives the various functions and categories across the horizontal bar that is created on a certain page (it might be the profile page). I am not referring to the main menu at the top of every page. I am looking for the one that looks like the page that comes up when I click on "My Profile" on the top right hand corner of this web page.

    2) I have not set up groups yet. Are groups a way of categorizing different forums? Is there other functionality that comes with joining a group?

    Thanks for your help.

    Steve

How do you see people registering? Free trial, free initial registration but then they need to pay to access certain pages/features? Or do they need to pay to access anything up front?  In other words is this a "progressive registration and subscription" or a "gate registration/subscription"

How do I customize the registration page?

From a style perspective you can do this through CSS and the Active Social customization templates. From a functionality perspective this all uses the core DNN profile...so you can extend (add fields) using core DNN.

What do you plan to add here? This is controlled through the Active Social files and can be extended but it depends on what you want to do.

Yes, I would encourage you to log on to ActiveSocial.com (the demo site) and join a few groups. Forums can be organized, added by admins.

I have the same subscription question. Are you able to provide recommendations for both:
    - "progressive registration and subscription"
    - or a "gate registration/subscription"

My requirements would be for gate registration and subscription with renewal reminders.

    Thanks
    Adam
