DotNetNuke 5.4.1, Active Forums and Active Social

by Will M on 28 Apr 2010 02:04 PM

DotNetNuke 5.4.1 was released this morning.  Active Forums is working great with this release and now fully supported for DotNetNuke 5.4.1.  We only have one issue with Active Social and the Quick Configuration wizard under this release.  This would only affect new Active Social installs on DotNetNuke 5.4.1.  If Active Social is already installed then you will not have any issues.  The Quick Configuration wizard in Active Social 1.6 will be fully compatible with DNN 5.4.1.  This issue isn't related to the DotNetNuke 5.4 release.  We have been trying to use the same code base for DNN 4.9 and DNN 5.x.  This appears to be one of those situations where the code we have in place will not work for all versions.

We will also be working to improve support for the new TelerikEditor provider over the next couple releases.

We will be upgrading activemodules.com to DNN 5.4.1 later this evening.  We have already upgraded a test version and it was perfect!

I hope you guys are part of the "small team of commercial module developers" with which DNN is working to put a better public testing process in place.

    Will,

What about 5.4.4. Has it been tested yet?

Is Active Profile compatible with DNN 5?

Support for Active Profile was dropped prior to the release of DNN 5. Given the number of changes since that time I would have to say it is incompatible.
