You can do this by editing the Toolbar.txt template in the DesktopModules/ActiveForums/config/templates directory. I suggest creating a backup copy of the default file. Also, you should create a copy of your edited file, because it may get replaced by the default file when you upgrade to a new version or reinstall.

To remove the link on the user name in AF, just set the profile type to disabled on the Community settings page of the control panel.

NOTE: You might need to "Clear Cache" (Host > Settings: Performance Settings) to apply the changes. I had to.

Hi, a client has asked us to do something similar to this to hide some of the links in the toolbar for normal users but have them visible to admin users. Is there anyway of achieving this either by having the ToolBar.txt file as part of a Theme or make the links aware of the user role similar to AS?

    Thanks
    Dan
