When you click on a discussion link on the activity page in one of my groups it sends you to the site's home page rather than to the discussion itself.

If you click on the discussion tab within a group and then click on a discussion link, it takes you to that discussion.

I have enabled vanity urls so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Anyone have an idea as to what may be causing this?

    Thanks!

Does the homepage of your site have your login control?

Is the url EXACTLY the same on the group activity page as it is when you go to the discussions tab and click on a topic?

If the url in the activity stream is http://mysite.com and the person logged into the site using http://www.mysite.com, then when they clicked the link they would be logged out.

    Hi Will, they are different.

Here's the link that shows on the activity page:

    http://ibrugs.com/tabid/144/aff/61/...fault.aspx

Here's the link to the topic when you click on the discussion tab:

    http://ibrugs.com/Community/iBrugsC...fault.aspx

Was that topic created before you had vanity urls enabled? That can also happen when you allow people to create topics outside of the group discussion tab, but if you have vanity urls enable then that shouldn't happen.

Thanks for the quick response Will. I just noticed the original topic was created before I enabled the vanity urls. I checked a couple of posts I made to recent topics today and they link fine. Looks like that was the problem.

    Thanks.
