    There have been several fixes in the gallery, nothing specific to S3. We have prevented transferring files over 1mb to S3 for the time being due to the API limitation.

    FIX - Message PopUp accuracy.

    Does this refer to users getting pop up alerts that they have messages when in actuality they do not?

    Now I know why I haven't heard from you! Good to know

    Is there any way we could get "Badging" implemented before the release, for the forums and the profiles?

    I know, that's a long shot but if we could somehow enable a badge on a users profile on AS and a badge under the users name on a forum post, that would be fantastic! More than fantastic, absolutely wonderful, words couldn't describe how happy I'd be with an ENH like that!

    What would the badge be used for? For clients, members, etc. that help with the community, sponsor the community, provide serivces etc. Just a nice way to display to the rest of the community that this individual deserves recognition for the work, help, donations they've given. Of course different badges for the various levels of sponsorship, dontations, etc would be needed too.

    Okay, just put it on the wish list

    You can do this now with a custom profile property set to admin only.
    Create a text property to store the full image HTML or just the image URL.
    Then use the token to display it on the page.

    Very very cool!

    I can see the badge on the forum but not your profile, will this work the same way on AS?

    Further, can this be set up for other roles or groups within DNN? For instance, if there is a role called member_sponsor they get one type of badge, and if there is another role called corporate_sponsor they display another badge?

    Perhaps, just a suggestion because I know others will ask, have Beth or Ben write-up a step by step document on how you implemented this.

    This is nice Will, thanks for sharing this, thank you very much!

    All you have to do is modify the template.

    No. This is just a custom profile property.

    Already planned for next week.

    Very nice indeed ....

    I would like to add my vote for role-based badges as well. We have different avatar/belt levels for our games, and it would be great to be able to add these to the forum posts as badges ...

    Just installed AS 1.4 and am getting the following on a members view:

    DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Incorrect syntax near 'PIVOT'. You may need to set the c
    The database is
    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3080.00 (Intel X86) Sep 6 2009 01:43:32 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

    I am currently trying to determine the compatibility level of my database.

    Never mind, a long time ago when I transferred my site it must have gone from 2000 to 2005 but kept the compatibility level of 80 (sql 2000)
    I simply ran the sql to change to compatibility level 90 (sql 2005).

    All is well again.

    Worth knowing about though.

    This is the script to run in Host > SQL as recommended by my hoster:

    declare @DBName nvarchar(1000)
    declare @CompatibilityMode int
    set @DBName = db_name()
    set @CompatibilityMode = 90
    EXEC sp_dbcmptlevel @DBName, @CompatibilityMode;

    You shouldn't have been able to install Active Forums or Active Social successfully running under 2000 compatibility mode. I'm surprised you haven't received install errors before.

    What is the SQL command to see what the current setting is?

    as far as I can see it should be:

    declare @DBName nvarchar(1000)
    set @DBName = db_name()
    EXEC sp_dbcmptlevel @DBName

    But it wouldn't return anything, I knew I had gone from sql 2000 to 2005 but didn't realise the compatibility had been set to 80.
    I decided to just run it and see. (making sure I had a recent backup!)

    set @DBName = db_name()

    EXEC sp_dbcmptlevel @DBName, @CompatibilityMode;

    I have a dumb question: do I need to replace "db_name" with my site's db name? I ran above script without changing the "db_name" into my site's db name. Even though it worked but I am worried that could've caused some problems.

    That is just a flag, nothing is changed in the database itself, the software accessing the database will use different queries depending on the value of the compatibility mode flag.

    I'm checking mine now, I too have upgraded the database from 2000 to 2005 to 2008 over the last few years, so I want to see if that might be an issue.
