One of the items listed on the features page is the ability to use the email address instead of a username.
    /Products/ActiveSocial/Features.aspx

Unfortunately I can't seem to figure this out. It seems I'm not the only one either as I found these three threads that asked the same question without answer.

Can one of the mods comment on this please?

I tried looking through all the documentation on this page http://www.activemodules.com/Commun...fault.aspx without any luck.

    Hello,

The easiest way to enable this feature is with the Quick Registration. You can see it in action on www.activesocial.com

We are working to release documentation for setting up this view. It should be available very soon.

Unfortunately, that will not work for me. I need the full registration page. I am going to take it that there is not, in fact an easy way to enable this as inferred by the feature page. I would have though with it being listed there, it would be a simple configuration change.

I guess I’ll be customizing the registration page then.

You can always use Dynamic Registration. I am using it just for the email and to assign roles upon sign up. However, it won't work if you want unique display names with AS.
I am using the latest AS/AF/DNN available.
    Thanks.

Is Dynamic Registration a separate module from AS?

It looks like my URL got stripped out. Go to DataSprings dot com and you can find out about Dynamic Registration.

Yeah, I'm not going to pay for another module to do something that is listed as a feature of AS. Thanks for the suggestion though! I appreciate it

I couln't post a link earlier either, editing the post showed it was there, but when posted it wasn't visible.  I finally removed the http part and it worked.
