We just had a long thread on my site about how to update "location" which I've included in our "PostInfo" template. My users are understandably confused about why they have to update profile information in multiple locations.
I understand that AF is a separate product from AS and that it needs to have it's own settings page, but I'm wondering if there are plans (perhaps with AF v5) to expose all of the profile (AF or AS) in a single location?
IMO it would be nice if the "My Settings" link took you to the "My Settings" section in AS with the forum settings tab selected.

This was done in Active Social 1.1. The Active Social My Settings page includes the necessary settings for Active Forums. You can modify the Active Forums toolbar to eliminate the confusion on your site. |

OK, I need to figure out how to replace the AF "Location" field (which isn't exposed in the AS forum settings) with the "City" and "Region" fields from the profile. I new about the changes from 1.1, I guess I was just basically asking if AF5 will remove the need for me to customize in order to get rid of the confusion. Thanks for the answers Will. -JB |

Will, has signature been added to AS? That seems to be the one thing I can't update without the AF profile....unless I'm looking in the wrong place. |

Signature is there. In your AS profile page, click on "My Settings" then click on the "Forum Preferences" tab. |

Maybe I'm going crazy, but.... I don't have a "Forum Preferences" tab when I click on "My Settings" from the AS Profile page. Only tabs I have are "Profile Preferences", "Journal Features", "Notificaitons", "Options for Albums", and "Social Tools"... did something change in the latest version? (I'm using AS 1.6) |

I'm using the latest version of AS 1.6 and have "Forum Preferences and Forum Admin Settings" after "Social Tools"... |
