Product Activation

To activate the product, you will need to enter the serial number in the about tab of the Active Social Control Panel. If you do not know the serial number, you can find it by clicking the My Profile link on our Community Forums toolbar. Your serial number will be shown on the Licenses tab. Active Social will run without activation for 30 days.

Active Social and Active Forums can only be activated on one server at a time. However, both products can be used in an offline development setting.

For development purposes, Active Social can be used indefinitely on a localhost server. It will display a message across the bottom when it is running in localhost mode. All the features will be functional, which provides a good environment to test skinning, template and other changes.

If you need to move your Active Social installation to a new server, please do not activate on the new server until you completely remove the module from the old server. If you receive any errors of warning during activation, please contact support@activemodules.com.

If you need to run a development installation on a server accessible via internet, you will need a second license. You can always purchase additional licenses at a discounted price by sending an email to sales@activemodules.com.
