The journal settings page in the control panel allows you to pick and choose what features are available for profiles and groups. If you do not want users to be able to post links in a group, simply uncheck the Share Link box, under the group column. When you uncheck a box, the button for that feature will no longer show up on the profile/group.

By default all the boxes are checked.
