Hey Everyone,
I've been looking to find some information regarding the flexibility of ActiveForums. I'm running 3.7 Pro on my company's intranet site and recently added the technical department to the forums. My sincere apologies if the information is somewhere else. I tried searching the forums and looking over the KB before resorting to posting.
1.) Subforums - is there any way to get the sub forum post counts and recent posts to show up in the heading of it's parent? We use forums to "break out" our products and about 75% of the conversations are going to occur within the subforums. We want our dealer network to see the most recent post from the main page; even when the post occurs in the sub-forums.
2.) Subscriptions - is there any way to configure subscriptions manually based on user profile? Our forums are substantial (about 40 boards and sub boards all together) and our dealers don't want to check the box on each board to subscribe to to it.
Thank in advance for any assistance you can provide!
