The first quarter of 2006 is nearly behind us. We have had an exciting couple months. In January we joined the DotNetNuke Benefactor Program as a Platinum Member. We also expanded into a larger office and added additional staff. In February we released two new modules,
Active Cases and the
Mail Connector for Active Forums. Both modules quickly made it to the top sellers list on Snowcovered. We also implemented Active Cases on our site to help improve our customer support communication. The beginning of March we released Active Cases 1.1. Active Forums was added to the list of nominees for Forum Applications for the
aspNetPro Reader's Choice Awards - Vote Today!. Now to finish up the quarter we have released Active Forums 3.6! We have some great modules in development for the upcoming quarter. What are they? You will just have to wait and see. I will say that we are going to continue to enhance Active Cases and Active Forums. You can expect to see new releases and new modules in Q2 2006.
Product News and Releases
Active CasesActive Forums has been our flagship product for over two years now. We have a new module which is quickly catching up. If you haven't checked out Active Cases yet, you should. Active Cases is in a fairly competitive module category and has already made it the Snowcovered Top 10 list. Customer feedback has been fantastic and we are still adding to the feature list for Active Cases 2.0. Visit our
demo site to test drive Active Cases today.
Active Forums 3.6
The goal for 2006 is to have an Active Forums release at least every 60 days. We have slipped a little, but for good reason. The demand for DotNetNuke 4 has been much greater than we expected. In addition to adding a handful of new features we also created an additional build optimized for DotNetNuke 4.0 and ASP.NET 2.0. We also needed to make some changes to the underlying code to allow us to better support add-ons for Active Forums. New features for 3.6 include:
Polls,
Topic Ratings,
Active Topics and
Forum Quick Jump. Learn more about Active Forums 3.6.
Mail Connector for Active Forums
The
Mail Connector for Active Forums was finally released in February. The Active Forums Mail Connector gives you the ability to add advanced email capabilities to your forums. The Mail Connector allows you to specify a POP3 Email box to act as an entry point for information into your forums. Imagine, anything that can be delivered or managed with email can now be added to your forums.
I want to thank each of our customers for their continued support. We hope that you will continue to provide us with comments, compliments and criticism as we continue to strive to provide the best modules available for DotNetNuke.
Regards,
Will Morgenweck
