I have placed the Ultra Video Gallery "UserVideos"-module next to the Active profile module on the members page of my site. With the tag [USERID] in the UVG UserVideos module I am able to show the videos of the user right next to their profile. So far so good.

Not all my users will have the ability to upload videos to the website and this means that the UserVideos module is showing an empty module when they are not allowed to upload. The uploading restrictions are being taken care of by using DNN roles. 

Does anyone know if it is possible to show only the UserVideos module from users with the upload authorisation?

I assume it will be something like searching for the [USERID] as a member of the upload role(number) in DNN, but I dont have a clue on how to achieve this.

I have the same question regarding UltraMediaGallery. It was written that MyProfile supports USERID, but i have failed to get it work at all

Check out the latest Active Update blog and notice that an update of Active Profile will be provided which should adress especially this issue.

I think this opens up the possibilitie to integrate with other DNN modules which could use the UserId as a parameter (just like UVG).

So it is on the future list, correct? It is fine. In case of MyProfile I have got the much more issue with encoding other than latin. It seems it is error of all DNNFusion modules since I just bought MyCompetition from them, but it has the same issue.

I think you will be able to integrate UVG/UMG with Active Profile but when and if a user sets his/her profile to private, UVG and UMG will not recognise it, and will still display the videos and pics of that user.

True, but when a member set's his/her profile to private, UMG/UVG will not recognize it and still display that person's pictures and videos.

I have UMG in profile integration forum. It works fine with AF, but I was unable to make it work with AP.

How do you make it work with Active Forum?

With the new enhancement, USERID, you will be able to integrate AMG/VG with Active Profile. It will only cause problems when the user wants to set his profile to private.

Frozen DNN,

If a user doesn't want to be in the open then his/her profile page is not accessible and therefore, I assume that (UVG) integration is not an issue in this situation (or not???).

I am very excited about the possibility to put together a full featured SN site on the DNN platform.
