I have been evaluating some profile modules and where wondering the following when it comes to Active Profile

Is it possible to disable specific sub modules (Like the blog, text module, ..)?

Can you switch between edit mode and view mode when viewing your own profile?

Is it possible to force an approve process on texts and specially images? So if a user uploads a new profile images it wont be shown unless and administrator approves it.

Can you choose what profile fields are show (Like turning off hobbies)?

Yes. There are security options for each module.

When you are viewing your own profile you will see additional editing options. Each module has it's own edit mode which you access by clicking edit or settings depending on the particular module.

Not at this time. Once a profile has been approved the user can make any changes. However, this is a capability that we plan to add.

Yes, if you are using the DotNetNuke profile integration.

Thanks,
Will

What I was looking for was a button that the profile owner could click to view the profile as everyone else will see it. For the ones that want to make the profile look just right for them.

Good that it's on the todo list at least

So you can't do this using the predefined fields that i expect to be a lot higher performance of then the built in DNN profile system. Flexibility usualy comes at a price and since DNN stores each profile value per user as a row. Well thats a lot of rows when you have a few users. It would be good enough if we could just hide the profile fields we dont want to user to see (ie change a ascx file). Is that possible?

Thanks for the replies, Joakim
