Active Cases 3.0 - February 4th

Active Cases 3.0 is long overdue, but we are quickly approaching the release date. I will post some updated screen shots over the next couple of days. I especially want to start posting more about the new Case Configuration feature. The Case Configuration Manager is going to allow you to create custom case types and unique properties for each type. For each case type you will be able to set your common default values, define up to 3 unique classifications and create up to 5 custom fields. This is going to allow you to use Active Cases to manage various types of incidents, cases and/or work orders all in the same module.
Did I mention that Active Cases has a 100% AJAX user interface? Why is this so important? Not because it is the latest buzz word or the cool way to write web applications, but because AJAX helps you work more efficiently. When AJAX is used properly, the page will load faster, you can update only the data that has changed, you don't have to wait for the page to load after every click and you provide your staff with an application that is far less frustrating.
Active Cases will be available in Professional and Enterprise Editions. Active Cases Enterprise will include support for creating and updating tickets via email.
More details later in the week.
