Active CRM set to be released February 15, 2007

Active CRM is scheduled to be released on February 15, 2007.  We actually finished development on the main feature set last week.  Why wait until February to release?  Active CRM is an application that many businesses will trust with their daily business operations.  While we have been thoroughly testing the application all during the development process, we want to make sure we haven't to make sure we have covered as much as possible.  The first step is to use Active CRM to manage every business aspect of Active Modules, Inc.   We have been using a subset of Active CRM for about 4 months now, but it is nothing like the application we have today.  As of next Monday, all internal tasking, project management, pre-sales questions, support, leads and sales information will be managed through Active CRM.  More details to follow on how this actually happens.

We are also beginning to put together all of our marketing materials.  You can expect to see more frequent blog posts about features of Active CRM.  I'll begin with a screen capture of the login screen and invoicing/sales screen.

Yes, we are still on schedule for the February 15th release date.

Good question. We spent a significant amount of time discussing how to handle support within Active CRM. Our first reaction of course was to integrate Active Cases. The data model for Active CRM is significantly different than Active Cases. One of the nice things about Active CRM is that you relate anything to anything (pretty much. This would make integration with Active Cases extremely difficult. We decided to build a case management solution within Active CRM that would allow us to keep all information related as needed. The end result is that Active CRM gives you instant access to all relevant data for a particular customer. A support person could be managing a support request and can quickly review the customers sales history. Likewise, a sales rep can be managing their customer's account and quickly determine if they have any open support requests.
